The Samarkand State Institute of Architecture and Construction (SamSIAC) was established on the basis of the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 367 and the Order of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education No. 307 dated July 15, 1966. It received the status of a university in accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-416 dated November 8, 2022 “On measures to further improve the system of personnel training in the field of architecture and construction”. The university has 4 faculties (Architecture, Construction, Economics and Management, Preservation of Cultural Heritage) and the “Higher School of Science”. There are 19 departments, 37 undergraduate programs, and 14 master's degrees.
