Role Synopsis: This is a full-time, on-site role in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) for a Contracts Specialist, reporting to the Cost Control and Contracts Manager. The role is responsible for post-contract administration of subcontract packages, including contract drafting, variations management, claims handling, and interim payment certification (IPC). The position ensures contractual compliance, proper documentation, and effective commercial risk management throughout project execution. Key Accountabilities: • Prepare, review, and finalize subcontract agreements in coordination with internal stakeholders. • Administer contracts throughout project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions. • Manage variations, change orders, and contractual correspondence, ensure proper documentation and timely agreement. • Assess and process subcontractor Interim Payment Certificates (IPCs), verifying quantities, rates, and entitlement in accordance with contract provisions. • Manage claims and contractual disputes, including evaluation of entitlement and preparation of responses. • Maintain comprehensive contract records and ensure audit-ready documentation. • Monitor contractual risks and proactively advise management on potential exposure. • Coordinate with the Cost Control Specialist to ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting. Desired background: • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Law, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field. • 3–5 years of experience in contract administration or commercial management in construction projects. • Strong knowledge of subcontract agreements claims management and contract procedures. • Familiarity with standard forms of contract (FIDIC knowledge is an advantage). • Proficiency in MS Office; ERP experience preferred. • Fluent in Uzbek, English and Russian. • Strong analytical, negotiation, and documentation skills.
