Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Husbandry and Biotechnologies is a higher educational institution established to organize a system of training professional personnel in the field of veterinary medicine and biotechnology, as well as to implement the republic's initiatives in the field of scientific research and practical work. The main tasks of the university are: training of highly educated personnel for the branches of veterinary medicine, animal husbandry, biotechnology, agrotechnology, agroeconomics; Formation of a modern educational and scientific-laboratory base, equipping it with advanced technological equipment and expanding scientific-innovative research aimed at developing the industry; to direct the educational process to the formation of practical skills, to widely introduce advanced pedagogical technologies, curricula and innovative teaching and methodological materials based on international educational standards, to create the necessary conditions for ensuring the harmony of theoretical knowledge and practice in veterinary clinics, educational and scientific laboratories, educational experimental farms, production and processing enterprises; to create a system of continuous education for the training, retraining and advanced training of scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel; to introduce joint educational programs and scientific projects with leading foreign higher educational institutions, to conduct research and development of the University's faculty
