The Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service was established on February 13, 1931, under the name of the Samarkand Cooperative Institute. On March 26, 2004, the institute was transformed into the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service. Today, the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service is a leading higher educational institution for training highly qualified specialists in the fields of services, tourism, economics, and management.
