Namangan State Technical University was established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-23 dated January 24, 2025 on the basis of the Namangan Engineering and Technology Institute, the Namangan Engineering and Construction Institute and the Namangan Textile Industry Institute. The university currently has a capacity of 11,273 students and 21 academic buildings, 5 activity halls, 5 gyms, 4 summer sports facilities, 7 canteens, 6 student dormitories. Today, 9 faculties (Engineering and Information Technologies, Transport, Business Management, Economics, Construction, Technology, Energy, Mechanics, Textile Industry Engineering) and 36 departments operate. A total of 19,302 students are studying in 77 undergraduate programs. Of these, 7,578 are full-time students, 11,266 are part-time students, 223 are evening students, and 235 are in 39 master's specialties. The educational process is organized in 3 forms of education, of which 66 are full-time, 28 are part-time, 20 are evening education forms at the bachelor's level, and 27 are full-time education forms at the master's level. Due to the fact that the total contingent of full-time education at all levels of education is 7,618 people and the limited capacity of study places, the daily educational process is organized in full-time education in the 1st-2nd shift. A total of 875 professors and teachers work at the university. Of these, 72 are doctors of science and 365 are candidates of science (PhD), with a scientific potential of 56.5%. Also, 6 foreign professors and teachers work at the University. Also, 26 citizens of foreign countries are studying. There are 2 academic lyceums operating under the University, and 32 technical schools in the region are attached to them. The University has 20 educational buildings, which consist of 461 classrooms for 10,160 seats, more than 70 scientific and educational laboratories, 26 computerized rooms for 1,520 seats, 6 activity halls for 1,200 seats. At the same time, 5 libraries with a book fund of more than 450 thousand books, 7 gyms and 4 open sports fields are operating. The university has 5 student dormitories with 1980 places. Namangan State Technical University actively participates in the global educational arena through international cooperation. Today, our university has established effective cooperation relations with 87 higher education institutions from 19 countries, including Algeria, Great Britain, the Czech Republic, Italy, Russia, India, China, Belarus, Poland, Spain, South Korea, Malaysia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan.
