On the basis of joint orders of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education and the Ministry of Health No. 189 and 311 of May 28, 1992, it was established as a "Medical Center" at Fergana State University, and by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 239 of June 3, 1998, it was transformed into the Fergana branch of the Tashkent State Second Medical Institute, and by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 780 of July 29, 2005, it was transformed into the Fergana branch of the Tashkent Medical Academy. By Presidential Decree No. 4911 of December 3, 2020, "On the Establishment of the Fergana Medical Institute of Public Health," the Fergana Medical Institute of Public Health was established on the basis of the Fergana branch of the Tashkent Medical Academy. The Fergana Medical Institute of Public Health has signed contracts with more than 60 higher educational institutions of the world and maintains constant cooperation in the educational, scientific, and educational spheres. Over the course of its activities, the institute has trained more than 5,000 qualified doctors. The task of the Institute is the development of medical education based on the achievements of science and technology aimed at the development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, integrated with world educational standards, as well as the training of competitive personnel in accordance with the requirements of the labor market, society, the economy, and the state.
