According to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 840 of October 3, 2019, The Tashkent branch of the Samarkand Veterinary Medicine Institute was established. At the branch, from the academic year 2020-2021, the educational processes began with the admission of students in 6 educational areas at the undergraduate stage. From the academic year 2021-2022, training processes in 9 master's specialties began, and in the academic year 2022-2023, 60 master's degree specialists were prepared. According to the decree of the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan PQ-187 of March 31, 2022, the branch was granted the status of Tashkent branch of Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, livestock and biotechnology. A total of 2,671 students are enrolled in the 2024-2025 academic year. It is attended by 852 students in the form of full-time undergraduate education, 323 students in the form of evening education, 1466 students in the form of part-time education, while 30 students continue their educational processes in graduate specialties.tal of 2,671 students are enrolled in the 2024-2025 academic year. The educational process at the branch is carried out in educational buildings located in 2 areas. In particular, the building of the former Tashkent transport college, located in the Chilanzar District of the city of Tashkent, houses the Faculties of Technology and Economics, 445 students are studying in full-time and 337 students in evening forms of Education. Also, in the building of the former Agroservis vocational college, located on the territory of the Zangiota District of the Tashkent region, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the correspondence Department are located, 409 students are studying in the form of full-time education, 1475 students are studying in the form of part-time education. In the academic year 2023-2024, Samarkand State University of veterinary medicine, animal husbandry and biotechnology organized the competition of practical keys for the first time among higher educational institutions training personnel in the direction of Veterinary Medicine at the Tashkent branch of the Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine. This event made it possible for students to test their knowledge and skills in practice and further improve their skills. The students demonstrated the experiences the practical Keys had gained during their studies in the championship, demonstrating that they had been formed as professionals to meet the demands of their employers. The competition of practical keys at the branch has increased the chances of future employment of students and helped them quickly adapt to the production process. Such activities with the heads of employer veterinary clinics, animal care enterprises, public and private organizations related to agriculture, as well as research institutions, have made a significant contribution to strengthening the practical side of Education.
